Employee Spotlight – Chris Willis

Our spotlight turns now to Chris Willis, Membership Manager for ‘The Shoals’, Tuscumbia, AL Air Evac Lifeteam Base #16.  Chris has been part of the family now for 7 years.

From childhood as a Boy Scout he fell in love with caring for others and offering first aid when needed. At age 18 he enlisted in the Alabama National Guard as a Combat Field Medic. In 1993 he went on active duty to Ft. Meade Maryland where he had his first introduction to helicopters while in Air Assault School.Air Assault School teaches soldiers how to repel from helicopters into situations to provide security and render aide. It was a major highlight when he went to Korea in 94 to be a medic on a Blackhawk helicopter with the Quick Reaction Force. In 1999 Chris volunteered to go to Bosnia for a 9 month rotation. While in Bosnia he worked as a Medic in the ER, Cat Scan, Lab, Sick Call and Ambulance Section. Every day patients were brought into the hospital via Blackhawk helicopters as Chris and his team raced to get them from the bird into the hospital. After Bosnia Chris gave up his military service to focus on starting a family.

Due to life’s full circle Chris has found his dream job! Taking care of people with the helicopter he grew to love with his Army time. Sharing how life can change and the beautiful product he had access too. With passion driving him he quickly rose to the occasion and started being a successful Sales person.

From Chris: ” I sold from the heart, that’s the beauty of what we do with AMCN. I love what I do!
I believe in our service, I believe in our Teams and Crews. No selfishness, just taking care of people from their health concerns to their pocket books. I have my dream job and I could not be more proud to be a part of such an amazing Family!”

Area 2 Meeting

After the meeting at Lake Tahoe, we were off to San Diego, CA.

Area 2 has a much newer crew, so their focus was on getting back to the basics.

A really great video on persuasion was shown, and I think everyone really gained some great insight from it.

We also got to hear from a couple guest speakers, and then had a blast at Dave and Busters!   Looking forward to seeing some great stuff from this Area in the future!

Area 1 Meeting

I’ve recently returned from the west coast, visiting with two of our teams.  Area 1 had their meeting at Lake Tahoe, which was a first time visit to the lake for me, it was beautiful!

The group participated in the Marshmallow Challenge, as a team-building effort.

The winners were Casey Robertston and Nicole Vice, great job guys!

MSM of the Month, Doug Little

Doug Little is a name quite familiar throughout Oklahoma, Kansas and the Texas panhandle.  Doug is a highly dedicated individual, who is passionate about the AirMedCare Network and the service it provides to local communities.

Doug began his career with Air Evac Lifeteam in October of 2007.  He hit the ground running and hasn’t stopped.   It takes much personal and professional resolve to maintain the level of performance that Doug sustains on a monthly and yearly basis.

Doug has a positive attitude and is extremely flexible.  He is very much a team player and goes above and beyond to help his peers.  In addition to being highly respected in membership, Doug has built excellent relationships with the bases he represents.

Doug is a Membership Sales Manager that others not only look up to, but strive to emulate.

Congratulations Doug Little for being December’s Membership Sales Manager of the Month.

A word from Doug:

I live on our 6th generation family farm/ranch in a little community called Ditch Valley, which is 65 miles north of Woodward, OK, right on the Oklahoma/Kansas border. In 1995 I graduated for Oklahoma State University—GO POKES!!—with a degree in Animal Science. I worked on our families farm/ranch full time and also spent numerous hours lobbying at the Oklahoma State Capitol on issues that were important to the agricultural industry. In October 2007 I accepted the position of membership coordinator for the Woodward OK base for AirEvac Lifeteam. With the inception of the AirMedCare Network in 2010 I also started covering bases for our providers in SW Kansas and the Texas Panhandle.

When I am not selling memberships, you can find me working on our farm/ranch, gardening, and watching college sports, again GO POKES!!, My greatest assets are my wife Debra, daughter Erin, Sons Josh and Jacob, and our newest addition granddaughter August.

This company has afforded me opportunities that I wouldn’t have dreamed of 8 years ago. Everyone I work with in this network are top-notch people. I feel blessed to work with such a great network of companies.
